Your mentor, Simone Paterson
Born and educated in Australia and now residing in the American South, Dr. Simone Paterson is an artist, educator, and founder of the Chakra Creativity Club. After decades as a university professor guiding emerging artists, Simone is now devoted to sharing the wisdom once hidden—creative practices rooted in energetic awareness—for health, vitality, and joy.
Her contemporary art practice bridges creative technologies with traditional crafts, especially embroidery, a medium she honors for its deep connection to women’s often-overlooked labor. Working from her studio in a historic log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Simone weaves together spirituality, art, and energetic balance as pathways to well-being.
As a mentor in the Chakra Creativity Club, she guides those ready to reconnect with their creativity and live a joy-filled life. Simone is also a strong advocate for diversity, inclusion, and the recognition of underrepresented voices in the arts.
